Let's talk brunch

If there's one thing I'm always down for, it's brunch. I honestly can't think of anything I'd rather do on a Sunday morning then get together with family or friends, have a huge cup of coffee, and eat. How do more people not get into it?!

My boyfriend's sister and brother-in-law (who we stayed with in Denver) are in town this week so yesterday Matt and I met up with Laura and their Mom for brunch at McLean's.



The wall states "Good food, Fast service, Best waitresses!!" McLean's has also been voted 'Best Breakfast in Richmond' by Style Weekly.

I ended up ordering the One Egg Special: one egg, two pieces of bacon, one patty or link sausage, one biscuit or one toast and juice. I also ordered grits (which are complementary) and I had them throw some cheddar cheese on them. Laura and I both ordered the same thing and even though neither one of us ever got our bacon, this really was a great breakfast! The biscuit was super buttery, the coffee just right, and the grits perfect consistency. Matt's Mom even took the extra biscuits to go.

It's wild to me that I had never been to McLean's before yesterday. I will for sure be going back soon! Next time I want to try their triple decker club sandwich and more than likely that delicious sounding red velvet cheesecake.....
